Articles are determiners. The words 'a' , 'an' and 'the' are called articles. They do not change according to the gender or number of the noun they refer to.

Example : a shop, the shop, the lady etc.

'A' and 'an' are indefinite article because it because they do not point out to any particular or definite noun. They are used before singular nouns, countable nouns and indefinite nouns.

Example :

Use of Definite Article - The
