>> This Statement means that Democracy is the best form of government in which we get the chance to correct our mistakes.

Example : If we elected a leader but he/she is not performing their duties properly then we can't elect someone else in their place who is better then him/her. Every citizen in a democratic country have their own self respect and dignity.

1) in a democracy mistakes cannot remain hidden for long.

2) there is always a space for public discussions on such mistakes and there is a chance for correction. 

3) either the ruler have to change their decision or the ruler can be changed. thus democacy allows us to correct its own mistake.
