3. Diagonal of a rectangle is 15 cm. Which is 3 cm more than its length. Find the breadth of the rectangle​

diagonal of a rectangle divide the rectangle in two equal right angle triangle .

here diagonal is the hypotenuse of the right angle triangle=15 cm

so length of the rectangle =(15-3)cm=12 cm

let breadth = x cm

so,

12^2+x^2=15^2

=> x^2=15^2-12^2=225-144=81

=> x=√81=9

so breadth of the rectangle= 9 cm
