Endogenic: Internal origin processes driven by the internal heat of the Earth causing radioactive decay of elements deep beneath the surface (mountain building). Endogenic gets it's energy from the internal heat of the Earth. Exogenic (external origin) processes are driven by the energy in sunlight.
