a) Large scale map and small scale map

A large scale map only shows a small area, but it shows it in great detail.

A map depicting a large area, such as an entire country, is considered a small scale map.

A small scale map shows more territory, but it is less detailed.

b) Longitude and Latitude​

Latitude alludes to the horizontal lines that represent the distance of any point, north or south of the equator, its direction is east to west.

Latitudes are also known as parallels while longitudes are termed as meridians.
