The phenomenon of a light beam rebounding after hitting a surface is called reflection . Now in refraction, the light changes direction, or 'bends' as it passes through the boundary between these two media. In refraction, the ray falling on the plane travels from one medium to another. In reflection, the waves bounce off the surface.

1.reflection means bouncing back of light from shiny substances while the change in direction of light while passing through one transparent medium to other is called refraction
2.in reflection angle of incidence=angle of reflection ahe in refraction angle of incidence ≠angle of refraction
2.in reflection angle of incidence=angle of reflection ahe in refraction angle of incidence ≠angle of refraction
