- Take a point P outside the circle such that OP= 5cm
- Join OP.
- Draw the perpendicular bisector of OP.
- Mark the mid- point as M.
- Open up the compass of length OM and draw a circle to intersect the previous circle at A and B respectively.
- Join PA and PB.
- PA and PB are the required tangents.
