Communication helps in the same way, it just helps in making decisions & communicate from one place to another covering lesser time.

All these helps in maintaining the flow of money within any economy and helps to maintain balance between supply and demand, revenue and expenditure.

Also both helps in generation of employment, which also generates taxes and helps inflow of funds within economy which is useful in growth of a nation.
