3)when number is multiplied by 5 is increased by 80 is 17

because 17×5=85

4)let the three numbers be x,x+1,x+2

x+x+1+x+2=114

3x+3=114

3x=111

x=37

therefore numbers are 37,38,39

3. solution

Let the number be x

According to the question

x×5=x+80

5x=x+80

5x-x=80

4x=80

x=80/4

x=20

4. Solution

Let the three consecutive natural numbers be x, x+1 and x+2

According to the question

x+x+1+x+2=114

3x+3=114

3x= 114-3

3x=111

x= 111/3

x=37

Therefore, three consecutive natural numbers are 37,38 and 39.
