3) Let the number be x

Number when multiplied by 5 implies

⇒x * 5

⇒ 5x

Number increased by 80 implies

⇒ x + 80

A.T.Q,

5x = x + 80

Subtracting x from both sides,

⇒ 5x - x = x + 80 - x

⇒ 4x = 80

Dividing by 4 on both sides

⇒ 4x ÷ 4 = 80 ÷ 4

⇒ x = 20

Therefore, The number is 20.

4) Let the numbers be x,x+1,x+2

x+x+1+x+2=114

3x+3=114

3x=114-3

3x=111

x=111/3

x=37

x+1=38

x+2=39

The numbers are 37,38,39.

5) Let the required number be x.

According to the Question,

⇒ x × 17 + 4 = 225

⇒ x × 17 = 225 - 4

⇒ 17x = 221

⇒ x = 221/17

⇒ x = 13

6) Let the number be x.

When this number x is tripled, it will be 3x.

When 3x is increased by 5 it will be 3x + 5

3x + 5 = 50

3x =.50 - 5

3x = 45

x = 45/3

x = 15

The number is 15.

Answer the number is 15
