Solution:-

Given two numbers are 5/7 and 7/9 . First of all convert them into like fractions .

So LCM of 7 and 9 is 63 .

Hence we can write

  • 5/7 =5×9/7×9= 45/63.
  • 7/9 =7×7/9×7= 49/63.

Hence a Rational number between them is 47/63 .

Alternative Method:-

If we wanna find a Rational number between two rational numbers say a & b , then it will be :

\boxed{\red{\bf \dashrightarrow Number=\dfrac{a+b}{2}}}

=>Number = a+b/2.

=>Number = (5/7 + 7/9 ) ÷ 2

=>Number = (45+49/63)÷2

=>Number= 94/63÷2

=>Number = 47/63 .

Hence a Rational number between them is 47/63.

Note :-

  • There are infinite number of rational numbers between any two Rational numbers.
