Answer:

4 x Side = Perimeter

4 x Side = 360 m

Side = 360

4

Side = 90

Area of Square = Side²

= 90²

= 90 x 90 = 8100

Area of Square is 8100.

Concept: Here we use the concepts of area & perimeter of a square.

To find the perimeter & area of the square we use the following formulas

The perimeter of the square = 4a

Area of the square= a^{2}

a is the side of the square.

Given: the perimeter of a square lawn of 360 m

To find: Area of the square

Solution:

First, we find the side of square 'a'

perimeter= 4a

360 = 4a

a=\frac{360}{4}

a= 90 m

now an area of the square = a^{2}

                                            = (90)^{2}

                                            = 8100 m^{2}

Hence the area of a given square is  8100 m^{2}
