2y² -5y +10 = 0

here ,

  • a = 2
  • b = -5
  • c = 10

delta = b²- 4ac

=( -5) ²- 4 (2)(10)

= 25 - 80

= -55

which is not equal to 0

therefore these roots are real and unequal
