3. Find the volumes of cuboids of the dimensions given below.
(i) Length = 5 m, breadth 3 m and height = 2 m
(ii) Length = 12 m, breadth = 10 m and height = 5 m
(iii) Length = 40 cm, breadth = 30 cm and height = 20 cm
(iv) Area of the base = 40 cm

Answer 1

i) Volume = l*b*h

= (5*3*2) cm³

= 30 cm³

ii) Volume = l*b*h

= (12*10*5) m³

= 600 m³

iii) Volume = l*b*h

= (40*30*20) cm³

= 24000 cm³

iv) Volume = (l*b*h)

= base area *h

= (40*6) cm³

= 240 cm³
