The wrong pair is Mangroves – Rubber.

So, option D is the correct answer.

Explanation:

Evergreen forests are found in areas of high rainfall over 200cm and high temperature. Due to adequate moisture availability all round the year coupled with high temperature, there is no particular leaf shedding season and  they always look green. Mahogany, ebony are examples of evergreen forests.

Deciduous forests are found in areas of 150cm to 200cm rainfall. They have a particular leaf shedding season and are less dense than evergreen forests. Teak, sandalwood are examples of deciduous forests.

Thorny and bush forests are found in dry areas like arid and semi-arid zones. Khejri is an example of thorny and bush forests.

Mangroves grow in marshy conditions in the shallow waters of sea. Sundari tree is an example of Mangroves. Rubber grows in humid tropical climate in deep friable soils with good drainage. Rubber is an example of evergreen forests. Hence, option D is the right answer.
