Answer:

a) Red soil is not suitable for cultivation because red soil is generally derived from crystalline Rock they are usually poor growing soil low in nutrients they are actually poor growing soil , low in nutrient and humus and difficult to cultivate because ofow water holding capicity .

b) laterite soilare used as a building material because they become hard like Iron when exposed to air . So, they are used as a building material

c) Soil colour is mainly produced by the minerals present and by the organic matter content . Brown soil or or black colour soil indicates that the soil has a high organic matter content

d) Alluvial soil and coastal region are black in colour due to the darkness sediments that are present in the river and mixes with the soil .
