Answer:

(a) A gas fills completely the vessel in which it is kept because the molecules of gas are very far away from each other due to large intermolecular space and occupy the entire space of the container.

(b) The molecules of gas are very far away from each other and hence have high kinetic energy. Due to this kinetic energy, the molecules arw always in an excited state and collide on the walls if the gas is filled in a container. Therefore, a gas exerts pressure on the walls of the container.

(c) A wooden table should be called a solid because its molecules are tightly packed and it has a definite shape.

(d) We can easily move our hand in air because the molecules of air have large intermolecular spaces but the molecules of a solid are tightly packed with little or no intermolecular spaces and hence we're not able to move our hand through it and might need a karate expert.
