Step-by-step explanation:

Amount of milk in container 1 (A)= 1/2

Amount of water in container 1 (a) = 1-1/2 = 1/2

Amount of milk in container 2 (B)= 2/3

Amount of water in container 2 (b) 1-2/3 = 1/3

Amount of milk in container 3 (C) = 3/4 Amount of water in container 3 (c) = 1-3/4 = 1/4

Ratio of milk to water

= (A+B+C)÷(a+b+c)

 = (\frac{1}{2} + \frac{2 }{3} + \frac{3}{4} ) \div ( \frac{1}{2} + \frac{1}{3} + \frac{1}{4} )

=(6+8+9/12) ÷ (6+4+3/12)

= 23/13

hence, the ratio is 23:13
