3.people in the anvient times would use their hands,foot,sticks and such items for measuring lengths...but as everyperson has different lengths it was not so good idea...

4.i)while measuring a length with scale we should be careful that the scale is broken or not.

ii)the numbers on the scale are not erased.

iii)we should measure the thing with starting point 0.

iv) if the scale is broken,we should measure the thing with the least number on the scale and add the same number to the measure we get...through this we can get exact measurement
