Ans:- Friction depends on mass because when we try to pull the weight of 5kg we need a little force to pull because frictional force is less in the same way if we pull the weight of 15kg we need a greater force to pull because frictional force get increased so, we can say that friction depends on mass.

2. friction also depends on nature of surface because if we try to push the box of weight 20 kg in a rough surface we need more energy to push it as in rough surface the frictional force is increased . in the same way if we push the same box in smooth surface we need much lesser force to push it. so, we can say that friction also depends on nature of surface
