Air pollution like sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides can cause respiratory diseases, or can make these diseases worse. Respiratory diseases like asthma or chronic bronchitis make it hard for people to breathe.Acid rain affects the overall pH level of a body of water. This can alter the ecosystem living in the water: acidic waters can kill individual fish and decrease the biodiversity in the waters. It can also kill plants that are sensitive to high pH levels and eliminate food sources.

Rain does not affects people. but acid rain affects people much. Rain helps in agriculture, drinking and other purposes.
