hey here is your answer
------------------------------------
first you have to know whar those numbers mean
taking 6C13 as an example C = carbon
here the number which is left to carbon that is "6" represents the atomic number of that element. Atomic number represents the no.of. protons in that atom.

And the number which is right to carbon that is "13" represents mass number.
Mass number =( no.of. protons + no.of.neutrons)

There fore we have
no.of neutrons = Mass number - atomic number (no.of.protons)

the answer are→
6C13 → no.of protons = 6
no.of neutrons = 13 - 6 =7

8O16 → no.of. protons = 8
no.of. neutrons = 16 - 8 = 8

12Mg24 → no.of.protons = 12
no.of. neutrons = 24 - 12 = 12

26Fe56 → no.of.protons = 26
no.of neutrons = 56 - 26 = 30

38Sr88 → no.of.protons = 38
no.of neutrons = 88 - 38 = 50

hope it helps.......

Concept:

A neutron could be a particle found within the nucleus of each atom except that of easy hydrogen and A proton could be a particle found within the nucleus of each atom. The particle features a positive electrical charge, equal and opposite thereto of the electron.

Given:

The given nuclei is _6^{13}C,_8^{16}O,_{12}^{24}Mg,_{26}^{56}Fe,_{38}^{88}Sr.

Find:

We have to search out the quantity of neutrons and protons.

Solution:

  • _6^{13}C

Atomic mass =13

Atomic number =6

Number of protons =6

Number of neutrons = (Atomic mass)- (Atomic number)

n=13-6\\n=7

Hence, the quantity of neutron and proton in _6^{13}C is 7 and 6.

  • _8^{16}O

Atomic mass =16

Atomic number =8

Number of protons =8

Number of neutrons = (Atomic mass)- (Atomic number)

n=16-8\\n=8

Hence, the amount of neutron and proton in _8^{16}O is 8 and 8.

  • _{12}^{24}Mg

Atomic mass =24

Atomic number =12

Number of protons =12

Number of neutrons = (Atomic mass)- (Atomic number)

n=24-12\\n=12

Hence, the amount of neutron and proton in _{12}^{24}Mg is 12 and 12.

  • _{26}^{56}Fe

Atomic mass =56

Atomic number =26

Number of protons =26

Number of neutrons = (Atomic mass)- (Atomic number)

n=56-26\\n=30

Hence, the amount of neutron and proton in _{26}^{56}Fe is 30 and 26.

  • _{38}^{88}Sr

Atomic mass =88

Atomic number =38

Number of protons =38

Number of neutrons = (Atomic mass)- (Atomic number)

n=88-38\\n=50

Hence, the amount of neutron and proton in _{38}^{88}Sr is 50 and 38.
