Given -

36 men can do a piece of work in 25 days.

To find -

15 men do the work in how many days

Solution -

Let, 15 men do the work in x days.

As, we have to complete the same work.

36 men can do a piece of work in 25 days.

Total work =

36 \times 25

15 men do the work in x days.

Total work

 = 15 \times x

So, equate both the terms

36 \times 25 = 15 \times x

x =  \frac{36 \times 25}{15}

Divide 15 and 25 by 5 we get

x =   \frac{36 \times 5}{3}

Divide 36 by 3 we get

x = 12 \times 5

x = 60

Hence,

15 men do the work in 60 days .

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that

36 men can do a piece of work in 25 days

To find

day require to work by 15 men

Solution

let x is the days require for 15 men

then

x \times 15 = 25 \times 36 \\ x =  \frac{25 \times 36}{15}

x =  \frac{5 \times 36}{3}

x =  \frac{180}{3}  \\ x = 60

hence 60 days require to do work by 15 mens
