Answer:

p(x) = x² - x - (2 + 2k)

if x = -4

p(-4) = (- 4)² - (-4) - (2 + 2k)

p(-4) = 16 + 4 - 2 - 2k

p(-4) = 18 - 2k

18 - 2k = 0

-2k = -18

k = 18/2

k = 9
