3. If I subtract 8 from twice a certain number, the result is 19. What is the number?​

Let the number be x

According to the condition :-

2x - 8 = 19

Then :-

2x = 19 + 8

2x = 27

x = 27/2

x = 13.5

So the number is 2x = 2 X 13.5

= 27
