n(PnQ) = n(P)+ n(Q) -n(PuQ)

n(PnQ) =28+20-36= 12

Given :

  • n(p) = 28
  • n(Q) = 20
  • n(PUQ) = 36

To find :

  • n(PnQ) = ?

Solution:

  • We know that , n(PUQ) = n(P)+n(Q)-n(PnQ)

Now put all the values,

36 = 28 + 20 - n(PnQ)

→36 = 48 - n(PnQ)

→ 36 - 48 = - n(PnQ)

→ -12 = - n(PnQ)

→ 12 = n(PnQ)

Hence n(PnQ) = 12
