Answer:

Given polynomial:

p(x)=x²-x-2

By factorisation method:

x²-2x+x-2

x(x-2)+(x-2)

(x-2)(x+1)

x=a=2

x=b=-1

2a+1=2(2)+1=5

2b+1=2(-1)+1=-2+1=-1

The two new zeroes are 5 and-1.

a+b=5-1=4

ab=-5

Formula of quadratic polynomial ;

x²-(a+b)x+ab

x²-4x-5 is the required polynomial.
