Metals have a shiny appearance, and nonmetals have a dull appearance; however, metalloids have a shiny and dull appearance. Thermal and electrical conductivity is high in metals, low in nonmetals, and it is good though is less than metals in metalloids.

thanks, pls follow

\bold{Answer:}

If you are given two samples how do you distinguish which one is metal or non metal we can identify which is metal or non metal by seeing whether they react with water and oxygen and we see the following properties r there in that substance Or not .

•Metals are generally hard, sonorous, ductile, lustrous, malleable, etc whereas non metals are non-ductile, soft, non-malleable, etc.

•Metals are good conductors of heat whereas non metals are poor conductor of heat.

•Metals are solid at room temperature whereas non metals are solid, liquid, gas at room temperature.

•Examples of Metals are- Cu, On,

•Examples of Non-metals are- Oxygen, Nitrogen.
