Three importance of decantation:
- To produce the clean decant or remove the unwanted liquid from the precipitate.
- This process is very common for water purification, gas purification and all types of purification process. The protein purification as well.
- It makes the insoluble substance from liquid to slowly settle down which is a result of gravitational force. This process is highly used in chemical industry for large and pilot scale production of chemicals.
