3 incandescent bulbs of 100W each are connected in series in an electric circuit in another circuit the three bulbs of same voltage are connected in parallel to the same source.
a)Will the bulb into circuits glow with the same brightness justify your answer
b)Now let one work and both circuit get fused will the rest of the burbs continue to grow in a circuit give reason

Hey

A) The bulbs would glow with same intensity in parallel circuit as voltage and current goes evenly but in case of series circuit it will not as distribution of current is not even.

B) In case of parallel circuit the bulbs would continue to glow even if one gets fused. But the whole circuit becomes off in case of series.

Hope this helps. :)

(a)

As the net resistance in each circuit is different due to varying arrangement, the brightness of the bulbs would be affected differently and thus would no grow with the same brightness.

..

(b)

In the series circuit if any component is affected the whole circuit shuts down and stops working but that is not so in a parallel circuit where the components are unaffected.

Thus, the remaining bulbs in the parallel circuit will glow while in the series circuit they will not.

Or this answer will help u also

a) No. the bulb in both the circuits will not glow with same brigtness because the voltage flowing through the series combination gets distributed among the three bulbs and even we know that in series combination the equivalent resistance is more as a result of which it will resist current. as a result the brightness in series will be less as compare to parallel.

b) No. We know that in series combination each bulb is connected one after another and if one bulb breaks the circuits gets broken as a result the bulbs will stop working. Wheras in parallel combination each bulb is indiviual of the circuit and if one bulb breaks the other will go on working.
