Answer:

length = 28 and breadth = 22

Step-by-step explanation:

Note:

Perimeter = 2 ( length + breadth )

Let the breadth of the rectangle be ' x '

.°. Length = 2x - 16

( 16 cm less than twice its breadth )

Perimeter = 100

=> 2 ( 2x - 16 + x ) = 100

=> 2 ( 3x - 16 ) = 100

=> 6x - 32 = 100

=> 6x = 100 + 32

=> 6x = 132

=> x = 132/6

=> x = 22 = breadth

length = 2x - 16

=> 2 ( 22 ) - 16

=> 44 - 16

=> length = 28
