3. Length of a rectangular field is 250 m
and width is 150 m. Ramesh runs
around this field 2 times. How far did
he run? How many times he should run
around the field to cover a distance of 4 km​

Addition of all Sides of Given figure is

called perimeter.

Let L and W are the length and width of

rectangle.

Perimeter of Rectangle = 2(l+w)

SOLUTION-:

Given that,

L=250 m and. W=150 m

Perimeter of the rectangle =2×(L+W)

⇒2×(250+150)m

=2×400m

=800 m

Ramesh runs around this field 3 times

= 2 x 800 = 1600 m or 1 km 600 m

Now,

We know that 1 km=1000 m

4 km=4×1000 km=4000 m

Number of round she cover in 4000 m=

4000 m / 800 m

=5 rounds.
