Answer:

Volume of pure milk in 4- Litres of 7:1 milk-water mixture= 7/8 x4= 28/8 Litres

Volume of pure milk in 6- Litres of 9:7 milk-water mixture= 6 x 9/16= 27/8- Litres.

So volume of pure milk, in the total 10- Litres of milk-water mixture =28/8+27/8 = (55)/8.

So Volume of water in the final 10- Litre milk-water mixture= (10–55/8) = 25/8.

Therefore the ratio of the milk-water mixture in the final resultant mixture =55/8 : 25/8 = 55 : 25

= 11 : 5
