Answer:

₹208

Explanation:

Given :

3½m (7/2) of cloth costs cost rupees 168.

To Find :

Cost of 4⅓ (13/3) cloth = ?

Solution :

\sf{}Cost\ of\ \dfrac{7}{2}m\ cloth=Rs168

\sf{}So,cost\ of\ 1m\ cloth=168\div\dfrac{7}{2}

\sf{}Therefore\ cost\ of\ \dfrac{13}{3}m\ cloth:-

\Rightarrow\sf{}\bigg(168\div\dfrac{7}{2}\bigg)\times\dfrac{13}{3}

\Rightarrow\sf{}\bigg(168\times\dfrac{2}{7}\bigg)\times\dfrac{13}{3}

\Rightarrow\sf{}48\times\dfrac{13}{3}

\Rightarrow\sf{}16\times13

\therefore \sf{}208

Hence,cost of 4 ⅓ m cloth is ₹208

Given :-

  • 3½ m cloth costs cost 168 Rs.

To FinD :-

  • Cost of 4⅓ ( \frac{13}{3}) m cloth

Solution :-

Cost of 3½ m cloth = 168

we can write 3½ as \frac{7}{2}

So the cost of 7/2 m cloth = 168

The cost of 1 m cloth = 168 ÷ \frac{7}{2}

= 168 × \frac{2}{7}

= 24 × 2

= 48 Rs

So the cost of 4⅓ ( \frac{13}{3} ) m cloth

→ \frac{13}{3}\times48

→ 13\times 16

→ 208

So, the cost of 4⅓ m cloth is 208 RS.
