1. It takes place in presence of oxygen.
2. Results in the release of energy and the formation of carbon dioxide and water.
3. Energy is given out gradually.
Anaerobic respiration-
1. Takes place in the absence of oxygen.
2. Results in the release of energy, carbon dioxide and ethyl alcohol.
3. Yeast , Bacteria and fungi can only respire anaerobicly.
