(iii) If work is not provided within 15 days of applying, applicants are allowed an unemployment allowance i.e., if the govt fails to offer employment, it must give definite unemployment allowances to those applicants. Therefore, employment under NREGA is a legal right
(iv) This act was implemented in about 200 districts in rural and extended this to another 130 districts in rural areas and the balance districts in rural areas was covered under this act in 2008, April.
