Answer:

sloution

Speed and the time take to cover a distance are in inverse proportion

Let marry take x hours to cover 12 km at the speed of 6km/hr and y hour to cover the same distance at 4km/hr.

Speed = 6 km/ h

4 km / h

Time =

x \: hours \\ y \: hours

Distance =

12km \\ 12km

Speed × time = distance

6 \times x = 12

x =  \frac{12}{6}  {}^{2}

x = 2

4 \times y = 12 \\ y =  \frac{12}{4}

y =   \frac{12}{4}  {3}^{}

y = 3

Ans: Marry take 2 hours at the speed of 6km/h and 3 hours at the speed of 4 km/h
