Speech on Parents - Second God
Distinguished judges, my dear friends, and parents
Greetings and good morning to all.
Each person adores their mother and father. Do you not? Without a doubt, each and every child in this room adores and respects their parents. Do our thoughts regarding parents differ in any way that makes them particular to India? Yes, we should be happy to say that our parents are revered on a par with god in our tradition and culture.
We frequently interact with our parents. We witness their daily struggles to maintain our happiness. Our parents work very hard to provide for us. They forego their comforts in order to give us access to food and education. We view them as next to god because of this. Indian culture demonstrates the value of showing our parents our love and respect. "Matha Pitha Guru Deva," as it is written in our old Vedic scripture, signifies that parents, guardians, and teachers should all be regarded as deities.
The word "parents" is plural. Both the father and the mother fall under this heading. Both of them are subject to different laws and rights. They are both crucial in a child's upbringing. A mother cooks for her child, loves him, and provides for his needs while a father earns money for the family. The mother's womb is a child's first classroom. Respect for moms is therefore a fundamental value that we should all uphold. Many teenagers today don't treat this issue seriously. I therefore respectfully ask everyone who considers what I have to say to do so. People without parents are the best people to ask about the value of parents. They will reveal to you their actual significance.
I'd want to conclude by saying that we should all honour and adore our parents. The least any of us could do is this. Many thanks for listening to me.
