Given :-

Total books brought :- 5400

Total books sold :- 4050

To Find :-

Percent of books did not sold............

Formula required :-

\longrightarrow \tt \large \orange {\boxed{ \tt \frac{\gray {Books \: not \: sold} }{ \gray{Total \: Books}} \gray{\times 100 }}}

Solution :-

Books not sold :-

 \tt \to5400 - 4050

 \tt \to1350

Now,

Percent of books not sold :-

 \tt \to \dfrac{1350}{5400}  \times 100

 \tt \to \dfrac{1350}{ \cancel{5400}}  \times  \cancel{100} =  \dfrac{1350}{54}

 \tt \to \cancel \dfrac{1350}{54}  = 25 \bf\%

\Huge\therefore25 \bf\% of the books were not sold.

Answer:

Nikhil bought 5,400 books in a month and sold 4,050 books.

Step-by-step explanation:

He could not sell books = 5400 - 4050

= 1350

Formula required

 \frac{books \: not \: sold}{total \: no. \: of \: books}  \times 100

The per cent of books he could not sell =

 \frac{1350}{5400}  \times 100

= 25% books could not sell
