Producers are organisms that don't have to feed off of other living organisms to survive. They are self-sufficient. All plants are producers. They produce their own nutrients through photosynthesis.

Producers are organisms which can prepare their own food to survive with required energy. For e.g ; Plants survive using the process known as Photosynthesis and prepare their own food under sunlight.
Consumers are organisms which cannot prepare their own food and depend on other organisms. For e.g Goats eat plants. Later they are eaten by Tigers.
