Plants and animals are put into different categories on the baisis of Mode of nutrition. Plants are autotrophs while animals are heterotrophs.The cell wall is present in plant cells,while it is absent in animals cells.Also,locomotion, absent of chloroplasts etc make them different. Plants do not need to move from one place to another,while most of the animals need to move in search of food.
