3 people at a restraunt paid a bill of Rs 30 for their snacks. The owner mentioned a special discount of Rs 5 as they were regualrs, thereby charging them Rs 25 and handing back Rs 5. Now each customer was given back 1Re from the change and the waiter was given a tip of Rs2.
Let's calculate. Since each customer was given a buck back that means they each were charged Rs 9. Rs 9 X 3 ppl = Rs 27. Plus Rs 2 tip to waiter makes it Rs 29. Now where is this extra Re?

Answer:

Bill received by the three persons = ₹ 30 ( Given )

Discount on the food = ₹ 5 ( Given )

Therefore, total cost of food = ₹( Bill - Discount )

= ₹ ( 30 - 5 )

= ₹ 25

It is given that the waiter took 2 rupees from the 5 rupees because of his greediness.

So, he return 1 - 1 rupee to 3 persons.

Hence, The total bill given by three persons = 9 × 3 => ₹ 27

Also, we know that the waiter took 2 rupees which was already counted in that bill, so, it'll be 27 and the waiter return 3 rupee to the persons,

Add money in both cases that is equal to 27 + 3 = 30
