Answer:

perimeter of parallelogram = 150cm

Let the one side of parallelogram be x cm then

Acc. To the given condition

Other side is (x+25) cm

Perimeter of parallelogram = 2(a+b)

150 = 2( x+x+25)

150 = 2(2x+25)

One side is 25cm and the other side is 50cm.

Given :

• Perimeter of a parallelogrom is 150 cm

• One of its sides is greater than the other side by 25 cm

To Find :

• Lengths of all Sides

Solution :

Let the one side of parallelogram be x then other side will be (x+25)

According to the Properties of Parallelogram we know that :

• Opposite Sides of parallelogram are equal

Thus,Sides are : x, (x + 25), x, (x+25)

 \boxed{ \sf \: Perimeter = Sum \:  of \:  all \:  sides }

 \longrightarrow \sf \: x + x + 25 + x + x + 25 = 150

 \longrightarrow \sf \: 4x +50 = 150

 \longrightarrow \sf \: 4x = 150 - 50

 \longrightarrow \sf \: 4x = 100

 \longrightarrow \sf \: x =  \cancel\dfrac{100}{4}

 \longrightarrow  \red{\sf \: x =  25}

\therefore Length of the sides of parallelogram are - 25cm, 50cm, 25cm and 50 cm

About Parallelogram :

• A Quadrilateral in which both pairs of opposite sides are parallel is called parallelogram.

• Opposite angles of parallelogram are equal.

• Opposite sides of parallelogram are equal.

• Diagonals of parallelogram bisect each other.
