Answer:

112 sq cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Perimeter of the square = 44 cm = Perimeter of rectangle

Perimeter of a rectangle = 2*(l+b)

= 2*(14+b) = 44

= 14+b = 44/2 = 22

= b = 22-14

= b = 8cm

Area of the triangle = length * breadth

= 14*8

= 112 sq cm

Given :

Perimeters of a rectangle and square are equal.

If the length of the rectangle is 14 cm.The perimeter of the square is 44 cm

To find :

Area of Rectangle

Solution :

In the question it is given perimeter of Rectangle and square are same. length of Rectangle is 14 cm So firstly we will find the Breadth of Rectangle by using Formula of Perimeter of Rectangle = Perimeter of square and after Getting the breath of rectangle we can easily find the Area of rectangle.

Perimeter of Rectangle = 2 (L + B)

→ 44 = 2 (14 + B)

→ 44/2 = 14+ B

→ 22 = 14 + B

→ B = 22 - 14

→ Breadth = 8cm

Area of rectangle = L × B

Where,

  • Length = 14cm
  • Breadth = 8cm

→ Area of rectangle = 8 × 14

→ Area of rectangle = 112cm

∴ Area of the rectangle is 112cm²
