Let x and y is the multiplication factor of the ratio.

So, Raj invested   = 5x

          Saleem      = 4x

Saleem invested = 8y

  Rajesh               = 9y

So, saleem investment=4x=8y

                                          x=2y

So, Raj invested   = 5x=5*2y=10y

          Saleem      = 4x=4*2y=8y

Investment of (Raj+Saleem+Rajesh)=36000

                        10y+8y+9y=36000

                           27y          =36000

                                     y=1333.33

Hence amount got by Rajesh=9y= 9*1333.33= Rs.12000

Hope it helps

Thanks

Ratio of Raj : Salim = 5 : 4

Ratio of Salim : Rajesh = 8 : 9

Since both ratio has the Salim, we will make the ratio of Salim the same:

Ratio of Raj : Salim = 5 : 4

Multiply the ratio by 2:

Ratio of Raj : Salim = 10 : 8

Now the two ratios are:

Ratio of Raj : Salim = 10 : 8

Ratio of Salim : Rajesh = 8 : 9

Since both ratios have Salim the same, we can combine them:

Ratio of Raj : Salim : Rajesh = 10 : 8 : 9

Define x:

Let x be the constant ratio

Ratio of Raj : Salim : Rajesh = 10x : 8x : 9x

Solve x:

Given that the total sum is Rs 36000

10x + 8x + 9x = 36000

27x = 36000

x = Rs 4000/3

Find Rajesh's share:

Rajesh = 9x = 9 (4000/3) = Rs 12,000

Answer: Rajesh got Rs 12,000
