Solution!!
The dimensions of one brick and the wall are given in the question. We have to find how many bricks are required to build that wall. We have to find the volume of 1 brick and the volume of the wall. The. we will be able to find the number of bricks required build that wall.
• Length of the brick = 20 cm
• Breadth of the brick = 10 cm
• Height of the brick = 5 cm
→ Volume of the brick = Length × Breadth × Height
→ Volume of the brick = 20 cm × 10 cm × 5 cm
→ Volume of the brick = 1000 cm³
• Length of the wall = 3 m = 300 cm
• Breadth of the wall = 1.5 m = 150 cm
• Height of the wall = 0.5 m = 50 cm
→ Volume of the wall = Length × Breadth × Height
→ Volume of the wall = 300 cm × 150 cm × 50 cm
→ Volume of the wall = 22,50,000 cm³
=> Number of bricks required = Volume of the wall ÷ Volume of the brick
=> Number of bricks required = 22,50,000 cm³ ÷ 1000 cm³
=> Number of bricks required = 22,50,000 ÷ 1000
=> Number of bricks required = 2250
