Solution :-

=> 3 ^ ( x - 1 ) = 5 .

Use log both sides

=> log 3 ^(x - 1 ) = log 5 .

=> ( x - 1 ) log3 = log5

=> ( x - 1 ) 0.477 = 0.6989.

=> 0.477 x- 0.477 = 0.7

=> 0.5x = 0.7 + 0.5

=> 0.5x = 1.2

=> x = 1.2/0.5

=> x = 2.4
