- Whenever you are in public place try to pay full attention to the people who are around you .
- Avoid texting and gossiping on the phone while walking alone as these are the times when you are the least active to react.
- Avoid displaying and carrying large sums of cash or jewellery in public places.
- At night, please try to avoid taking shortcuts through areas where the people count are less such as parks and playgrounds.
- When ever a stranger follows you to your doorstep try to ask someone for help or send your live location to the people you may trust.
- Call or inform the police at times you feel threatened.
- Travel on busy routes which are well-lighted.
- Avoid taking or parking your vehicles in shadowed areas as they might take advantage of the dark to take your chain and purse.
- Women should not talk on mobile phones while walking on the road to stop chain snatching.
- Women should also be alert if thay are followed by bikers.
- If anyone approaches you and tries to divert your attention by telling you that you simply have dropped your money, or there's some dirt on your clothes, beware.
