#3• REFLECTION IS THE CREATION OF IMAGE BY SOME SORT OF QUANTUM INTERACTION OF PHOTON AND THE SURFACE .. BUT WHAT I WANNA HIGHLIGHT, IS THE PHENOMENON OF REFLECTION DEALS WITH THE TRANSMISSION OF INFORMATION ? FROM ONE SURFACE TO THE OTHER ..

first clear the things that we know and are scientifically proven.

light doesn't has mass, that means it also doesn't occupy space.

but wait,

i said light can be in the form of particles i.e photons right?
there is a theory.
photon hasn't got mass.
yes, there is some kind of energy and momentum.
but we know that momentum can't exist without mass.
 { why ? ( they say p=mv ) }
well p is for momentum, m is for relativistic mass and v is for velocity.
but actual mass ain't the same as relativistic mass.
relativistic mass is the measure of energy that keeps on changing with velocity.
we can say that it has got relativistic mass.

and what is we call actual mass is which doesn't change with velocity.
invariant mass is zero for photon as it keeps on changing with velocity.

now for experiment we are going to take a box having mirror in front and back and we will pass a light ray such that it keeps on going back and forth in just two direction and momentum comes to zero this way but the energy doesn't.
{ as momentum before collision and after collision is equal to zero }

{ as there is energy, there would be some increase in the total mass of box.
why? => because the photons hit the box and apply force on the box. }

so what we get to know from this experiment is that:
it ain't the mass of photons.
it is the mass which is increased because of the force exerted by the photons.

now you came up to argue with me that hey friend there isn't just one equation that connects mass with energy.
comes, the famous einstein's  equation E = mc²

so, you say wherever there is energy there is mass?

now in this case we know that the mass ain't the relativistic mass that keeps on changing.
so, has photon got mass?
no, E=mc² is for something that is at rest.
light isn't ever at rest!

now we just proved that light is having energy
but it hasn't got mass.

what about light being in the form of wave?

for now just know in brief that there was an experiment which was known as double slit experiment in which we observed that when two waves in water intersect each other, a pattern was created on the floor the dark area showed valley or low points and bright area showed upper point or crest of wave.

this came to be known as dual nature of light.
both wave form and particle form.

now,

when a ray of light falls on matter some absorption happens.
there is reduction in the amount of photons.
this is known as attenuation.
well, matter is made of atoms and atom has got electrons.

when the photons collide with electrons they absorb quanta of energy and gains high energy state. { that is why something gets super hot when placed in sunlight for some time. }

but is there something else which gets absorbed?
it can be information. some special information.

well, scientists have been able to send an image from one location to other using physical particles.

it may seem strange and impossible.
but quantum mechanics is making impossible possible.

if you study deeply you will get to know about principle of entanglement in which two particles are linked in such a way that anything happens to the one will happen with the other particle no matter HOW FAR THEY ARE.

teleportation is going to work on this principle.

well, i am not writing more.
afraid of crossing the word limit.
