Explanation:

 I can and you can too. The most difficult thing in calculating the Total resistance is to figure out what resistors are in parallel and what are in series. In your case it’s given in the question.

so R1, R2, R3 are in parallel and you ask what is the total resistance.

Now either remember or google “parallel resistance” and find that the equation is:

1/RT=1/R1+1/R2+1/,R31RT=1R1+1R2+1R3

and in your case

1RT=15+110+115=630+330+230=11301RT=15+110+115=630+330+230=1130

or RT=3011=2×8/11=2.72¯¯¯¯¯

Explanation:

We know that the total resistance in series is given by the sum of all individual resitors

So here, total resitance in series is = R1 + R2 + R3 .......

so , total resitance in series is 5+10+15 = 30ohm

And total resitance in parallel is given by the sum of reciprocal of each individual resitors

So here total resistance in parallel is = 1/R1 + 1/R2 + 1/ R3

so , total resitance in parallel is 1/5 + 1/ 10 + 1/15 = 0.3666666 ohm
